- Announcements of actions taken by Club - 60 points
- Activities mentioned - 50 points
- Committee reports - 40 points
- Personal items about members - 75 points
- List of coming events (Club, Zone, District etc) - 60 points
- Items about Zone & District Events - 60 points
- Items about Lions International events & Lionism in general - 60 points
- Humor (jokes, amusing incidents about members) - 40 points
- Legibility - 60 points
- Neatness - 60 points
- Convenience of Size - 40 points
- Attractive Appearance - 60 points
- Regularity of issue - 60 points
- Style of writing - 55 points
- Editorials - 50 points
- Illustrations - 10 points
CLARIFICATION OF SCORING:
1. Bulletins shall be judged by the score system set forth above.
2. The points set forth in the above shall be the maximum allowable points for
each item.
3. All starred (*) items MUST appear in each issue of the bulletin.
4. The unmarked items must be included in the bulletin once a month. (They may
be included in each issue but this is not necessary).
5. Program announcements: The program for each meeting prior to the next issue
shall be given. If the program for any such meeting has not been determined,
that shall be noted and considered as satisfying this requirement.
6. Activities mentioned: This may be a completed or future activity.
7. Personal items about members: This may be a birthday, anniversary, health
report on a member or other personal items about a member.
8. The following items shall be scored for each issue: Legibility, Neatness,
Convenience of size, Attractive appearance, Regularity of issue and Style of
writing.
9. Single Page Bulletin: Any bulletin printed on one sheet of paper of legal
size or smaller shall be considered a Single Page Bulletin.
10. Multiple Page Bulletin: Any bulletin printed on more than one sheet of paper
or larger than legal size paper shall be considered a Multiple Page Bulletin.
District Awards will be given for the Club Bulletin which, in the opinion of the
Bulletin Contest Committee, are the most outstanding in each of the two
categories: Single Page and Multiple Page.
The District Committee choices are entered into the Multiple District contest.
